June 19, 2009: Exhibition

Springwater participates in Art IN City Hall with four other organizations - Del Ray Artisans, The Art League, and The Torpedo Factory Artists Association - under the auspices of he Alexandria Commision for the Arts. Art in City Hall is a semi-annual juried show of 2-D and 3-D art which is displayed on the second floor of Alexandria's City Hall. It is open to the public during regular weekday hours. The organizations give monetary Awards of Merit and pieces are for sale. Entrants do need to be a member of a least one of the sponsoring organizations.
We want to encourage more fiber artists to submit entries. Springwater does give an aware and would love to see it given to a Springwater associate. The next exhibit will be Nov. 17, 2008 through June 19, 2009. Receiving for that show will be Saturday, Nov. 15. Jurying will take place that day also. Please think about entering. We also want to encourage our teachers and students to keep this exhibit in mind when planning projects.
