Friendly Springwater Registration Form
Class
Registration Procedure: You may register in person, by phone,
or by mail.. You can click below for a printer-friendly
form or use the one in the catalog. You must preregister
for all classes. You will be notified only if a class is
canceled. Generally, materials are not included in class
fees but are paid with tuition at the time of registration.
For jointly sponsored Springwater/Art League classes, tuition
is paid to the Art League, and marterials fees are paid
to Springwater. Students receive a discount card to be used
in the shop for the duration of their class. Upon availability,
looms can be rented on a first-registered, first served
basis. Loom rental must be requested at the time of registration.
You are registered only when we have received your payment(s).
Class Registration Policies
1. Students are strongly encouraged to register at least
two weeks prior to the class, preferably more. It's best
to register for all classes you wish to take in a given
session at the time you receive your newsletter in the mail.
At two weeks prior to the class, we must make a go/no-go
decision. This is fair to our instructors, who need to be
able to plan other activities, and allows us time to have
adequate supplies on hand for all who have registered.
2. If you register but then cancel more than seven days
before the class is scheduled to be held, you will receive
a gift certificate in the amount you paid for the class
minus a 10% administrative fee. No refunds will be given
to students who register and then cancel, only the gift
certificate. The gift certificate is redeemable for either
other classes or for supplies in the supply store.
3. If you cancel less than seven days before the start of
the class, no gift certificate is issued and no refund sent;
you are liable for the full payment. If you wish, you may
find a substitute who will take the class for you. This
is a financial transaction between you and the other individual,
though we'd be gratefulif you'd let us know that this has
happened.
4. If you register for a class but the class must be canceled
by Springwater because of insufficient registration or other
reason (illness of the instructor, for example), you will
receive a full refund.
5. Makeup classes are generally not available, though you
can generally schedule a separately paid-for private lesson.
You are encouraged, therefore, to plan to attend all sessions
of your class. It is not fair to your classmates if you
fall far behind them and then need more of the instructor's
time and attention.
6. As a kindness to instructors and fellow students who
may have allergies and sensitivities, please do not wear
fragrances (including strong-smelling men's cosmetics) to
class.
If you have any questions about school policy, check with
Carolyn Atwater, Springwater's Director of Programs. She's
usually available at 703-549-3634 on Thursdays
